In 2014, Tarrant designed a feature staircase in the engineering offices of Howard I. Shapiro & Associates on Long Island, New York. Howard I. Shapiro & Associates are the leaders in engineering crane work. The stairs are made from steel and are designed to resemble the boom of a crane. This feature staircase is another example of the site specific designs that are typical of Tarrant’s work.
